Unit price perHello my beauties! I’m Beki, a crazy, friendly and proud educator for Chrissie and CJP based in Cornwall. I have been in the nail industry for 10 years. (Doesn’t feel that long!) as the saying goes ‘do a job you love, and you will never work a day in your life’.
I originally completed my qualification at college in 2010 whilst on maternity leave (I worked for a well known photography company making frames) and never went back!
I set up a little salon at home in my dining room straight away – I loved creating pretty nails so much, but my college skills were very basic and I always felt there was room for improvement. I have always been ‘arty’ and I wanted to apply art to nails (I just didn’t know how) also perfect techniques and offer my clients a variety of nail designs/systems so went on to do a separate hard gel conversion course, gel polish and lots of nail art and skill building courses in between with some of the best nail techs in the industry… one of which was Chrissie Pearce!
Although I was doing well working from home after my second child it was becoming really stressful for me, I’m a bit of a clean freak so I would get anxious about clients coming over in case my children had made mess, I felt like I was home all the time and I wanted to get out! (Love my children with all my heart but this mum needed a break!)
Chrissie advertised some desks to rent in her new salon – half of me thought ‘I’m not good enough’ and the other half ‘if you don’t apply you will regret it!’ Applied …..and I’m still here 7 years later! After a few years the thought of teaching came into my head, that I would love to share all I have learnt and pass on skills and techniques that I had over the years to students. I bit the bullet and qualified to be an educator. I started shadowing Chrissie on her courses and she eventually encouraged me to do it on my own (I was SO nervous) but, my first course in and I had NO idea what I was worried about! I absolutely loved it! The sense of achievement and the feeling of helping students to complete sets of nails that took me years to create using Chrissie’s manuals makes me beyond proud of my students, not just helping with their struggles but understanding and being able to relate and to pass on my combined nail skills I had learnt over the years to them is so so rewarding! Fast forward 7 years and here I am still proud to be working with Chrissie at the salon and a CJP educator – grateful and proud and I cannot wait to see what you all create!

Course Content
Class Size – Max per class 4-6
Prerequisites – N/A
Model Required – A model is required if you are a complete beginner.
Course Duration – 1 Day, 4.5 hours.
Theory Work – Theory work completed online 4 weeks prior to practical training.
Payment Information – If you choose to pay a deposit for your training, please note the final balance must be paid in full before your theory training starts. You will be enrolled on the portal 4 weeks before your practical training date.
Course Description
Do you love painting nails but get fed up of them chipping? Often get complimented on your polished nails or simply no longer have the time to attend regular salon appointments and have always “fancied” doing nails?
Or are you a seasoned tech and haven’t ventured into getting that all-important qualification yet?
Well this is the perfect place to start, not only will you learn how to polish flawlessly, you will be taught how to paint nails that last alongside all the health and safety that comes with using nail products and a safe removal. This course should come with a highly addictive warning as unfortunately you will soon be hooked and discover you can never have enough colours!
Our educator will show you the endless possibilities with Gel Polish and what you can incorporate and achieve.
You will learn how to incorporate glitters and thin encapsulated media (art/foils), you will also learn gliding, marbling, design work and introduction to Ombre. The art will be carried out on display tips.

- Application on natural nails / Super close work.
- Application over Acrylic or Gel (If applicable).
- French with Gel Polish.
- Base Coats.
- Health and safety.
- How to soak off safely.
- Manicure Knowledge.
- Preparation of the natural nail.

Kits & Products
This is a CJP Course, so you will need to bring CJP products only or alternatively purchase a kit.
Once you have purchased a CJP Education Training Course, an email will be sent to you informing you what products will be required to complete your training.
We strongly recommend you purchase a new kit to ensure all products are free from contamination and are in perfect condition. If you require to purchase a kit, kits are available to purchase through your educator. There are different kit options available to suit your budget.
The Kit/Products will be delivered to your Educator so they will be ready for your first day of your training.

Shoulder Ache, hand ache the fear of coloured acrylic and the dreaded back fills sound familiar?
Yes, we have all been there and sat on the fence contemplating training in E-File but listening to that voice in our ear warning of the dangers, wondering how we explain the jump to electric filling to our clients after swearing blind for years they “ruin nails” – well there is no time like the present!
Your E-File will become your best friend, not only will it dramatically speed up your times it will help protect you from suffering further down the line from the physical toll on your body from hand filing. There’s a saying that is so true “it’s the fools, not the tools” you will not cause any damage at all once you are trained in how to use an electric file, you will learn not only how to wizz through acrylic but you will be taught how to wizz through safety ensuring that your file quickly becomes your most valuable piece of equipment. Time is money!

- Cuticle prep (on the nail plate only not the skin).
- Smoothing, shaping or removing product completely.
